Beyond its renewed focus on late ’90s and early 2000s models in the retro pipeline, 2026 will also see Jordan Brand link up with some brand new names. Mowalola Ogunlesi is one of them, a third-generation designer and former YZY design director known for her provocative, avant-garde approach to fashion and the marketing behind it.
We reported last year that a Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 collaboration is in the works for 2026, including both the AJ14 proper and a mule version. The Nigerian-born designer has since left a few breadcrumbs, vagueposting Air Jordan packaging alongside a sheet of handwritten design notes.

As for the sneakers, Sneaker Market Romania reports that the collection will center around a “Black/Burnt Red-Metallic Gold” color palette. That being said, the materials and potential special detailing remain a mystery for now.
Mowalola is one of a few new names slated to deliver a debut Air Jordan collab in 2026, joined by Whitaker Group retailer A.P.B. and Ghanaian creative house Free The Youth. The AJ14, meanwhile, is positioned for a notable year via a handful of 2000s retros. The “Black/University Blue” 14s return in March, while the “Forest Green” is currently penciled in for October.
No concrete release date for the Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 collection has been set as of this writing, but Fall 2026 remains the tentative launch window (meaning between July and September). We’ll circle back once more details emerge.
