A Nike Air Max 95 “Mexico” Sample Appears

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

It’s not only the actual soccer shoes that are allowed to celebrate the World Cup. The silhouette at hand has already proved that plenty, particularly with its mash-up against the Total 90 for a range of metallic colorways. In an even more evident overhaul, the Nike Air Max 95 “Mexico” spells out what could be in store as we head toward kick-off.

Previewed with a flurry of short in-hand shots, the Nike Air Max 95 “Mexico,” of course, adapts some of the usual prideful tones: white, red, and green all make their impact here, with the lattermost painting the heel and tinting the air units. It’s there that the theme appears most unabashedly, swapping between “MEXICO” and “EL TIEMPO FC” text in pink. Insoles reading “Amor Que No Se Apaga,” or “Love That Never Fades,” add additional heritage ties. In what’s perhaps the most unconventional move, this colorway also adds silvery flames atop the sidewalls, adding to the retro appeal of the faux-aged midsoles.

With just a few quick in-motion angles of the shoe shown, it’s tough to make out any hard details on the sample tag, which would likely spell out the season this pair was prepped for. Without that confirmation, it remains a possibility that the Nike Air Max 95 “Mexico” sees a wide release at some point. We’ll keep you up to date with the latest as it comes to light; keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach to stay in the loop.
