Naked Brings Metallic Energy To The Nike Shox Z And Ballet-Inspired Calistra

The ongoing Nike Shox reinisnace took a rather chic turn with the debut of the Nike Shox Z last year, a new kitten heel-esque spinoff that feels well-aligned with the aesthetic young women are gravitating toward right now. That direction continues with a collaboration by women’s sneaker retailer Naked Copenhagen, featuring the Shox Z proper and a new ballet-inspired offshoot called the Shox Z Calistra.

The collection draws inspiration from wet Copenhagen pavement, opting for dark, metallic-heavy styles that capture the models’ shared 2000s reference points. The Shox Z proper is fairly straightforward, pairing a Metallic Hematite mesh upper with black hits on the laces, heel, and Shox cushioning. The Shox Z Calistra is the real star of the show.

First spotted via official Nike images last month, the Shox Z Calistra combines the silhouette of a kitten heel with the tooling and visual DNA of retro tech runners. The Nike Shox R4 serves as a clear reference, with the Calistra adopting similar detailing around the spine and heel. The sides are harder to trace, featuring two abstract rows of molded rhombuses. A thin leather strap spreads over the open forefoot, while standard Shox Z cushioning sits underfoot.

The Naked Copenhagen x Nike Shox Z collection releases March 7th via the Naked website and Naked stores. A wider release via Nike SNKRS and additional retailers could follow shortly after. See retailer images below if you’re considering copping.
