More and more, the Three Stripes establishes that their celebration of the Superstar isn’t restricted to just one year; it’s an overwhelming, ongoing spotlight on their storied silhouette. With their roster of celebrity endorsees helping bring the model and its standout presence back to the fore, the product to match has continued apace; SP5DER, Willy Chavarria, and Hellstar are only a few of the names to bring their talents to the Shelltoe so far in 2026.

Beyond those streetwear and designer collaborators, adidas developed a series throughout 2025 in which various regional retailers issued their own local spin on the model. SNIPES highlighted NYC tattoo culture, Sheikh enlisted Qias Omar for LA’s “lived-in edge,” and Hibbett foregrounded the Texas State Fair. Active Athlete got in on the action as well with an even more specific focus, telling the story of Houston’s Rodeo culture with a refined denim overhaul.

Just about a year later, the two are back at it, as the Active Athlete x adidas Superstar “Lone Star Reppin’” comes to light. The retailer’s aperture widens for this second step, zooming out to the South as a whole. Oversized belt buckle dubraes, rope laces, a boot hang-tag, and distinguished brown leather uppers make that apparent from first blush. Yet the standout feature comes with embroidered detailing throughout the sidewalls, additionally splashing its teal tonality into contrast stitching in the sole.

The launch for the Active Athlete x adidas Superstar “Lone Star Reppin’” is open now, with a limited in-person launch expected for March 7th. For those close to the Cullen Blvd location, Active Athlete will host a “Lone Star Saloon” pop-up that Saturday from 2 PM to 5 PM. Retail is set at $110.
