Nike continues expanding its commitment to women’s footwear with the introduction of the First Sight Collection, a new lineup designed to push the brand’s design language forward while staying rooted in athletic performance. The initiative reflects how major sportswear brands are investing more heavily in women-focused innovation instead of simply offering limited colorways or seasonal updates.
According to Nike product line manager Jeff Scott, the goal behind the collection was simple: create footwear that instantly captures attention while still feeling fresh, modern, and rooted in sport. The project blends Nike’s performance heritage with a more expressive design direction tailored specifically for women.
The First Sight Collection launches with three unique silhouettes: the Noir, Mirage, and Shadow. Each model explores a different interpretation of sport-inspired style while leaning into experimental shapes and materials.
Leading the rollout is the Nike First Sight Noir, scheduled to release on March 20. The shoe features a sleek upper combined with a sculpted, wedge-like heel that nods to performance running footwear while maintaining a fashion-forward edge.
Next in the lineup is the Nike First Sight Mirage, which merges elements of formalwear and athletic design. The model stands out thanks to a distinctive cushioning system featuring TPU spikes that house foam cylinders within the heel, giving the silhouette a futuristic appearance.
Rounding out the trio is the Nike First Sight Shadow, a slip-on design influenced by early 2000s Nike basketball models. Its molded structure and textured dot pattern create a bold visual statement while referencing classic Swoosh innovations like the Flightposite line.
The Nike First Sight Noir will launch first on March 20, 2026 through SNKRS and select retailers for $125. Meanwhile, the Mirage and Shadow are expected to arrive later in 2026, though official release dates have yet to be announced.
