Some of the most interesting sneaker ideas start far outside the world of sport. That’s the case with the Liberty London x adidas Delftware Pack, a collaboration shaped by the long tradition of Dutch Delftware pottery and its delicate blue floral artwork.
Consisting of two womenswear exclusives, the Pack sees the release of the Handball Spezial and Sambae. Available in light blue, silver and cream hues, both silhouettes are defined by their traditional gum soles. Patterned jacquard adorns the side panels of both pairs, showcasing collaborative floral motifs translated across each silhouette reminiscent of hand painted glazed Delftware.
On the Handball Spezial, soft light blue suede runs across the toe, eyestay, and heel. The tone stays consistent across the upper, letting the patterned panels take attention. Silver Three Stripes and heel branding break up the softness with a slight metallic shine.
The Sambae approaches the palette a little differently. While the silver branding stays in place, the suede toe shifts to a creamy off-white instead of blue. That change gives the pair a softer contrast and makes the Delftware floral fabric stand out more clearly.
Liberty London has spent years bringing its textile heritage into adidas footwear. Here, the design leans more understated than usual, letting texture and pattern do the storytelling.
