Nike is revisiting a surprising success story with the return of the Air Force 1 Low “Roses” from 2021… sort of. The rose-inspired midsole remains intact, but small changes make for a pretty drastic departure from the style’s original inspiration.
Let’s dial it back to 2020 for a moment. Nike took inspiration from New York’s now-banned plastic bodega bags with a collection of Foamposites and Air Force 1s for kids, all of which sold out rather quickly. The Swoosh then brought the theme to the Air Force 1 for adults in 2021, releasing multiple styles featuring overbranded tongue tags (inspired by the “Thank You” bags), “Have A Nike Day” graphics on the insoles (nodding to the yellow smiley face bag), and red rose graphics on the midsole. Those Air Force 1s too proved rather successful, motivating Nike to deliver a restock in 2024.
Now the white Air Force 1 “Roses” is back in our consciousness again, only this time there are some key changes. The tongue and insoles no longer feature the bodega bag-inspired branding, instead opting for additional rose graphics to match the midsole. Multi-color red and light pink laces replace the standard all-white, and the forefoot Swoosh at the bottom of the eyelets is absent this time around.
The new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Roses” should land soon via Nike.com and retailers. See official images below if you’re considering scooping.
