It’s “Melo World” And The PUMA MB.05 Is Just Living In it

In some of the squad’s more middling years, perhaps we would’ve rolled our eyes at the suggestion of “Melo World,” but the recent winning streak for the Charlotte Hornets has suddenly legitimized Ball’s on-court swagger and the similarly exhuberant persona he wears off the hardwood.

As the team amasses an extremely sturdy 21-9 record in the new calendar year, the PUMA MB.05 is cosmically timed, wearing Hornets-like teal int his new colorway. No doubt, Melo’s own expressive aesthetic and his line with PUMA leaning into those same explosive visuals means this could just as easily be some unaffiliated eye-catching fare. Or maybe it’s somewhere in between, as the “Melo World” concept apparently nods to the Chino Hills product’s ability to “ascend” into a flow state, inspiring the cloudy patterns that define this edition’s base.

The PUMA MB.05 “Melo World” is scheduled to release on March 27th, dropping in adult and Grade School sizing ($130 and $110, respectively).
