Classic silhouettes often don’t need much reworking to feel new again. Sometimes all they need is a strategic colorway. That sentiment certainly applies to the Nike Air Max 90 “Silver Sage”, an upcoming release for Summer 2026 that explores muted earth tones while maintaining the shoe’s classic architecture.
Summit White mesh forms the foundation of the upper, giving the sneaker a fresh and breathable canvas. Circumferentially placed Light Pumice suede overlays adorn the toe cap, eyestays, and forefoot panels for a washed-out grey appearance that contrasts naturally with the white underneath. Transitioning towards the heel, the Swoosh is crafted out of Silver Sage suede, further manipulating the understated olive tone that governs the whole color scheme.
A darker hue is introduced down towards the base of the silhouette. Black leather wraps the mudguard, creating a sharp edge that outlines the upper and grounds the lighter tones above it. Close by, Silver Sage TPU eyelets, heel branding, and the Air Max window detail echo the same olive hue, helping the color scheme feel connected from front to back.
Below that layered upper sits the model’s classic tooling. A white foam midsole houses the visible Air unit in the heel, while the outsole combines black rubber with Silver Sage traction sections for grip. The material mix and color balance give this version a slightly calmer look while staying true to the Air Max 90’s original design language.
