Nike Basketball has officially introduced the Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pink Quartz”, the first widely available launch colorway of the silhouette’s return for 2026. The release is scheduled for March 13th and draws inspiration from Kobe Bryant’s early years playing in Los Angeles.

While this pair marks the model’s broad retail debut, the Kobe 3 Low Protro technically made its first appearance earlier this year during NBA All-Star Weekend 2026. Nike released the “Warning Label” edition exclusively in Los Angeles as part of the All-Star festivities, making it extremely limited and unavailable through wider retail channels.

The “Pink Quartz” colorway therefore serves as the first global launch of the Kobe 3 Low Protro and sets the tone for the silhouette’s 2026 comeback.

Design inspiration traces back to Kobe’s first three seasons in the NBA. During that time, his explosive style of play quickly turned heads around the league. Off the court, the exterior of the Forum arena often glowed pink at night, creating a visual moment tied closely to that era of Lakers basketball.

The Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pink Quartz” channels that atmosphere through its design. Soft pink tones cover the quilted upper, referencing the arena’s nighttime lighting, while darker accents around the heel and midfoot add contrast and structure. The balance of light and dark details mirrors the mix of energy and focus that defined Kobe’s early development.

Like other Protro models, the sneaker modernizes the original Kobe 3 for today’s game. Updated cushioning and performance technology improve responsiveness while maintaining the silhouette’s recognizable design. The build is also refined to feel lower and lighter on foot.
