Nike is marking a major milestone for women’s basketball with a special-edition GT Cut 4 celebrating the WNBA’s 30th anniversary. The commemorative colorway honors the league’s original branding while blending Nike’s modern performance technology with a nostalgic design story tied to the WNBA’s early years.
This anniversary edition draws inspiration from the league’s classic logo and color palette before the WNBA transitioned to its current orange identity. The sneaker features a split design across the upper, creating a bold visual contrast. One side arrives in a deep red tone, while the opposite side showcases a sky-inspired mix of blue and white patterns that extend around the heel. A metallic silver midsole anchors the look, finished with a red Swoosh placed near the lateral heel.
Additional storytelling details highlight the league’s legacy. The heel tab includes a circular anniversary patch featuring the original WNBA shield logo. The badge also references the league’s founding date, April 24, 1996, alongside “30 Year Anniversary” text surrounding the emblem. Another tribute appears on the lateral toe area, where a message celebrating the game’s ownership and identity within the WNBA community is printed.
Beyond the commemorative theme, the shoe remains built for elite on-court performance. The GT Cut 4 is equipped with full-length ZoomX 3.0 foam, paired with a parabolic Zoom Strobel unit to deliver explosive responsiveness. Nike also integrates RBR-X foam for stability and a Cushlon carrier to enhance cushioning and support during high-intensity play.
The Nike GT Cut 4 “WNBA 30th Anniversary” is scheduled to release on May 8, 2026, with a retail price of $210. The pair will launch in unisex sizing through Nike.com and select basketball retailers.
