The adidas and The Whitaker Group era has truly begun. After launching a massive collection of exclusives in February across its four retail imprints, the James Whitner-founded faction has officially unveiled Do Not Duplicate, a new cultural platform rooted in individuality, creative authorship, and lived experience. Positioned as a rejection of imitation, the initiative arrives at a moment when culture itself is starting to feel repetitive and algorithm-heavy feeds aim to program rather than individualize.
The platform debuts with a campaign film that questions what happens when authentic cultural expression becomes something systems attempt to duplicate. Rather than participate in repetition, Do Not Duplicate encourages creators to trust instinct and move with confidence before validation arrives.
That ethos materializes in the Do Not Duplicate: Houston Rodeo Pack, a collection of adidas Originals silhouettes inspired by Western riding culture and the independent spirit of the Houston Rodeo. This even doesn’t need much introduction; it’s the largest rodeo in the world, drawing more than 2.4 million visitors annually and growing as a true indicator of Texan lifestyle.
The four sneakers in the pack are the F50 Adiframe, three styles of the BW Army, and the Handball Spezial, crafted through an super-luxurious mix of pony hairs, smooth and supple leathers, croc-embossed and snakeskin textures, suede overlays, and metal stud detailing that reflect traditional Western materials across the . A silver “Do Not Duplicate” chain tag appears on each pair as a marker of the platform’s message, with DND spelled out in morse code.
The collection releases in limited quantities exclusively through The Whitaker Group channels, which includes A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and JAIDE; all will be available via an EQL draw opening March 10; while a wider launch is confirmed for March 20. Additional expressions of Do Not Duplicate are expected to unfold throughout the year, signaling a longer-term cultural commitment between adidas and The Whitaker Group.
