We’re continuing to uncover Nike lifestyle sneakers inspired by national football teams ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Following an Air Force 1 “USA” and multiple styles alluding to Mexico, we’re now taking a trip across the pond with an Air Max Plus for France.
Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus is insanely popular in France, which explains why Nike has released more than a few Paris and France-themed TN styles in the past (including a few projects with Paris Saint-Germain). It’s no surprise that the two-time World Cup champs are getting special attention from the Swoosh ahead of this year’s tournament, especially considering French footballer Kylian Mbappé is one of Nike’s biggest global stars. The sneaker mirrors the French home kit with a Blackened Blue/Game Royal colorway, complemented by Metallic Copper on the Swoosh, midfoot plate, and rooster emblem over the tongue.
France fans should be able to cop these soon, although no release date or MSRP has been announced as of this writing. We’ll circle back with an update as soon as more information surfaces. Given the popularity of both football and the Air Max Plus in France, these could move quickly.
