The theme centers around the idea of early mornings, symbolizing the quiet hours when work happens before the spotlight appears. For Morant, that mindset reflects discipline and daily preparation, shaping the way he approaches the game.
Visually, the sneaker mirrors the colors of a sunrise. Gradients of blue, pink, and orange flow across the upper, echoing the tones seen in the sky at daybreak. This design element reinforces the story behind the shoe—putting in work while the day is just beginning.
The “Tri-State” nickname also connects the release to the basketball-rich region of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Known for its intense streetball culture and competitive hoops scene, the area helped inspire small design details within the shoe, including interior references to regional area codes.
