The colorway first released in April 2005 as part of the Air Jordan XX launch lineup, marking a new chapter for the signature series. A decade later, the sneaker returned on March 14, 2015, joining the brand’s larger celebration of the Air Jordan line’s 30th Anniversary.
The 2015 release served as both a tribute and a refresh of the original design. While the retro version stayed true to the overall look that fans remembered, Nike also introduced subtle updates to modernize the model and commemorate the ten-year milestone of the “Stealth” colorway.
Design-wise, the Air Jordan 20 “Stealth” stands out for its layered construction and distinctive details. The upper combines smooth black nubuck with glossy patent leather, creating a sleek contrast across the silhouette. Two Velcro straps run across the upper, including a midfoot strap featuring intricate laser-etched Air Jordan graphics that reference Michael Jordan’s career achievements.
Additional accents help bring balance to the mostly black design. A bold red interior lining provides a pop of color while also delivering extra cushioning and comfort around the ankle. Underfoot, the sneaker’s cushioned outsole is built to support everyday wear, blending performance elements with the model’s lifestyle appeal.
