Sometimes the quiet collaborations end up being the most interesting. Working through Vans’ OTW division, HAVEN takes the familiar Authentic and gives it a cleaner, more considered finish without losing the silhouette’s everyday simplicity. The HAVEN x Vans Authentic Vibram Pack follows that mindset, offering a subtle upgrade built around material quality and thoughtful details.
There are two subtle colorways included in the release. One is completely black while the other is fully white. However they each use texture to contrast rather than color. The toe is covered in fuzzy suede while smoother nubuck is used on the midfoot and heel. Leather lacing trim cleans up the edges and breathable perforations are used on the tongues.
A few smaller elements quietly separate the pair from standard Authentics. The lace area swaps traditional eyelets for bolt-shaped metal hardware, giving the upper a slightly industrial feel. Inside, tan leather sockliners introduce a warmer tone and reinforce the more premium direction behind the project.
Down below, the classic waffle sole steps aside for a vulcanized Vibram outsole. The black rubber base carries Vibram’s yellow badge and a geometric tread pattern designed to improve traction while keeping the Authentic’s low profile intact.
