adidas and Pharrell Williams’ Humanrace are back with a new take on performance running through the Pharrell x adidas Adizero EVO SL Humanrace “Mars” edition. The release also includes matching apparel, with a track jacket and shorts that carry the same theme.
The “Mars” colorway pushes the idea that running can be more than exercise. Instead, it frames each run as part of a daily routine built around focus, balance, and personal wellness. Inspired by the dusty surface of Mars, the shoe brings a bold cosmic theme to adidas’ lightweight runner.
That concept also shapes the campaign, which was shot in Painted Hills, Oregon. The rugged landscape mirrors the look of Martian terrain and helps reinforce the story behind the release. Rather than focusing only on speed or distance, the message here is about movement with purpose.
From a performance standpoint, the Adizero EVO SL takes cues from the Adios Pro EVO 1 but shifts them into a more everyday runner. It features full-length LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam for a soft, responsive ride without stiffening elements. The engineered mesh upper adds breathable, targeted support for daily use.
The matching Mars apparel rounds out the drop. The shorts feature a loose, breathable fit made for movement, while the lightweight jacket has a more tailored shape with room to move freely.
The Pharrell x adidas Adizero EVO SL Humanrace “Mars” will release on March 21st for $160. The matching track jacket will retail for $120, while the shorts will cost $70. The full collection will be available through select adidas retailers and adidas.com.
