Ultimately, the animus for Jordan Brand is to create sneakers that look good and that its fans will be moved to grab off the shelves. Nowhere in that charter is “proper justification of hybrid models” demanded, yet we’ll give credit where credit is due: typically, their mashups don’t come without some sort of conceptual backing.

The Jordan Six Rings merged each of Mike’s championship-winning silhouettes, Spike Lee’s Jordan Spiz’ike pulled from the kicks featured in his iconic commercials, and the Sixty Plus, fittingly, combines all the shoes he topped 60 in. Taking cues from the director’s signature shoe, we’re beginning to see the Sixty Plus Low trickle out, following the surprisingly warm reception to Lee’s low-cut reimagining. As we adjust to the “new” silo, it’s aiming to alleviate any adjustment period in advance; the “Black Cat” formula, one that’s been extremely reliable for the Jumpman and already touched one of the Sixty Plus’ components in the Air Jordan 5, helps it set sail.

The Jordan Sixty Plus Low “Black Cat” doesn’t have a concrete release date attached to it just yet, but we’re expecting this pair to touch down sometime in the Summer 2026 window.
