Avirex continues its streetwear resurgence by reconnecting with its New York roots, this time revisiting its ongoing partnership with adidas for Spring/Summer 2026. After bringing a bold, long-tongue adidas Superstar to market in late 2025, the brand is already back with a fresh spin on the same idea.
This new version flips the previous concept, pairing the Superstar’s classic black-and-white color blocking with Avirex’s signature oversized design cues. The shoe leans into heavy materials across the upper, while standout details like jumbo hardware and thick laces give the iconic shell-toe a more aggressive, street-driven edge. Despite those upgrades, the overall look stays clean and wearable, balancing statement elements with a familiar foundation.
Avirex also keeps its storytelling tight by tapping into culture once again. While the last campaign featured Joey Badass and MJ, this rollout highlights rising names like St. John’s guard Ian Jackson and DJ Nyla Symone, tying the release back to basketball and music influences rooted in New York City.
The Avirex x adidas Superstar 82 drops March 21st through the CONFIRMED app and a dedicated pop-up at adidas SoHo. Retail is set at $180, continuing the duo’s push to merge heritage energy with modern street appeal.
