The width of Kobe Bryant’s line keeps expanding. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Soft Yellow/Frobe” set off an important new chapter, bringing Protro branding and tech into the world of lifestyle. On top of more simplistically styled general releases, that energy has only continued in the wake of that early career homage. On the heels of the paired uptown for the “City of Champions,” Beaverton is readying their widest set to date, an all-out celebration of the late legend’s “Lower Merion High” days on the Dunk Low, Air Force 1 Low, and the Kobe 5.
Without question, that sig shoe will command the most attention, but those who fall short of a W or are otherwise hardwood-averse will still have a chance to celebrate Bean’s varsity team. Now revealed is the “Away” version of the Nike Dunk Low “Lower Merion High,” a brightened counterpart to the burgundy style we recently uncovered. Consistent with that pair, a slew of special edition touches usher this into what’s a weighty narrative pack overall; tufted chenille Swooshes, Kobe signatures on the heels, Bryant’s 33 jersey on the heel counter, and the heartfelt mottos on the interior of the tongues: “Friends hang sometimes, banners hang forever.”
In one final sentimental touch, the official unveiling of the Nike Dunk Low “Lower Merion Aces” comes with some hometown release particulars. T his white Dunk Low is reportedly exclusive to Philadelphia’s Lapstone and Hammer; the retailer will be dropping this pair and both Air Force 1 Low colorways early, via a first-come, first-served in-person launch on Saturday, March 21st at 10 AM. Any remaining pairs will go live online on March 23rd. Catch official images below as you prep for the drop.
