Skate footwear keeps pushing into more expressive color stories, and this latest Ishod Wair release does exactly that without losing its performance edge. Dressed in a moody mix of Grand Purple, Noble Purple, Gravity Purple, and Black, the pair arrives with a rich tonal build that feels bold on first look but still easy to wear.
That layered finish is what gives the design its character. Darker purple shades wrap the mudguard and lower portion of the upper, while softer purple hits move across the eyestays, collar, and toe area. As a result, the Nike SB Air Max Ishod “Grand Purple” carries depth throughout the upper instead of relying on one flat shade.
Softness and structure exist in perfect harmony as well. A white mesh tongue helps lighten the darker color scheme, while the lavender laces and padded tongue lining helps brighten the shoe adequately. Blacked-out Swoosh and heel branding grounds the aesthetic, while embroidered AIR wordmark along the eyestay further helps define the model.
As for the underside, it’s built upon a mostly black sole unit complete with an icy blue-tinted chunk by the heel. That small contrast works well with the visible Air cushioning and adds a colder finish to the purple-heavy upper.
