by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

The rollout for the Virgil Abloh Air Jordan 1 continues to build momentum on a global scale. What started as a highly anticipated release has evolved into a worldwide campaign, with activations landing in major cities tied to Virgil’s legacy, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

The latest stop brings the spotlight to Paris, where the Virgil Abloh Archive is hosting a two-day campout event at Place Raoul-Follereau. The activation is already underway, with registration handled on-site. Those attending must be adults and are required to present a physical ID and bring a pen to participate.

Paris plays a key role in Virgil Abloh’s story, dating back to his early presence in the city’s fashion scene in 2009. Over the years, it became a major platform for his creative work, hosting several of his collaborations, runway moments, and art showcases.

With this latest activation, the release continues to feel less like a standard drop and more like a global cultural moment, reflecting the lasting impact of Virgil’s influence across both fashion and sneaker culture.
