Within the greater Nike family are several internal networks aimed at bringing together employees, allies, and community members from diverse backgrounds. Among them is the Black Employee Network (BEN), founded in 1997 and now comprising more than 3,500 members.
BEN is no stranger to producing the occasional exclusive sneaker, last popping up with an employee-exclusive Nike Dunk Low in 2024. Now making waves across the sneaker internet is an Air Max Sunder inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, featuring premium Purple Dynasty leather, pearl detailing, and a color-shifting upper. The BEN x Nike Air Max Sunder is limited to just 365 pairs, each individually numbered. There are no plans for a public release, but pairs are currently being seeded to select Black creatives, leaders, and media members. Enjoy detailed images below.
