The Nike SB crossover is now well-established as a real weapon in the Swoosh’s arsenal. Although stretching back to the mid-2010s, its real breakout moment with the “Pine Green” has spurred a real run by the sub-brand in taking over other Nike, Inc. classics; several Air Max 95s, Supreme’s Air Max CB 94, and the Nike SB Air Force 1 each qualify.
The skating era for Bruce Kilgore’s design is off to a hot start already, with the “Light Orewood Brown” attracting serious attention in various in-person drops and remaining a steady resale commodity. Yet as it plots further colorways, there’s a more nefarious edition in play. The Nike SB Air Force 1 Low now dusts off a pair in all-black, adapting the silhouette’s most notorious association to become a skatepark menace.
Jokes aside, the hallmarks that’ve lent the Uptown to this new life remain in place here: thicker materiality in high-abrasion areas, additional cushioning in the heel, and an overall “slouchier” suede build in the upper.
A hard and fast release date for the Nike SB Air Force 1 Low in black hasn’t come down yet, but we do know this pair will command a $120 retail price. Keep a bead on this pair via this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub. In the meantime, view official images below.
