Instead of highlighting his college ties, this pair tells a story from Booker’s youth. The inspiration comes from the Gus Macker, a well-known nationwide 3-on-3 streetball tournament that played a role in shaping his game. A throwback photo tied to the moment shows Booker as part of “The Next Generation” team, complete with custom jerseys from that era.
The design leans into that nostalgic theme. A bright yellow base sets the tone, paired with navy accents and a metallic Swoosh along the side. Red hits at the toe add contrast, while the tournament’s mascot, MackerMan, is stamped on the heel as a direct nod to the event.
Like most of Booker’s player exclusives, this “Gus Macker” colorway is expected to stay within his personal rotation. Still, it adds another layer to the growing lineup of Book 2 PEs, showing how his signature series continues to blend performance with personal storytelling.
