One trend we’ve noticed: the Jumpman is leaning very heavily into the Retro hybrid category. With the continued rise of models like the Jordan MVP 92 and Jordan 3 RM as well as the revival of models like the Son Of Mars Low and Sixty Plus, it’s clear that modernism is being reserved for Air Jordan models (like the upcoming Air Jordan 41) and signature shoes.
Throughout the month of March, Jordan Brand has quietly relaunched a hybrid from its past catalog under the Spike Lee umbrella — the Jordan Son Of Mars Low. While yet to be revealed in a new colorway (don’t worry, they’re coming), the mash-up has returned to stores in its original colors from 2015. Already, we’ve seen the White/Cement and a Grey/Red edition hit retail again for $165; now, it’s the Black Cement’s turn.
It’s hard not to take notice of such a timeless colorway like this. The upper sticks with black smooth leather, paired with grey/black elephant print on the toe and heel. The Air Jordan 5’s oversized reflective tongue sits atop, while the AJ4’s tooling appears at the bottom. If you’re a fan of these hybrid mash-ups, the Son Of Mars Low is admittedly one of the better ones.
Pairs are available right now via the retailers below for $165. As usual, we’ll update you when new colorways emerge later this summer on our Jordan Release Dates page.
