For the past year and change, the Nike Air Max 90 has ceded space to the Air Max 95 as the Air Max model most in vogue, largely sitting on the sidelines as its “Big Bubble” sibling has reaped the benefits from most of Beaverton’s sum creativity.
Could we be seeing that balance begin to shift? Doubtlessly, the 110 is still in focus as we stare down Air Max Day 2026, but Tinker Hatfield’s design has dropped off some experimental or otherwise eyebrow-raising fare of its own in recent weeks. A reprise of the timeless “Infrared” with extra 3M materiality checked off an expectedly history-steeped pair for the brand holiday, but a Patta-like “Waves Pack” pushed the envelope.
The pair at hand marches on in that mission. Though the silvery tones of its “Off-White/Grey Fog” colorway are noteworthy on their own, this pair finds its central selling point by spreading the usual tight knit mesh onto the mudguard, adding a steely edge to what otherwise could’ve been just a run-of-the-mill GR. Look for the Nike Air Max 90 “Off-White/Grey Fog” on Nike.com and retail shelves in the coming weeks; stay in the loop via our Sneaker Release Dates hub.
