Exclusive: Nike Has Plenty Of Cryoshot Collaborations Planned For Summer 2026

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 on the horizon, Nike is making a decisive push to blur the line between performance and lifestyle, and the emerging Nike Cryoshot franchise sits right at the center of that strategy.

At its core, the Cryoshot concept reimagines some of Nike’s most iconic football silhouettes such as the Nike Tiempo and Nike Mercurial by outfitting them with a translucent outsole that encapsulates the traditional stud plate. The result is a true hybrid: a street-ready sneaker that retains the DNA of elite on-pitch performance. Beyond the design itself, it’s the collaborative ecosystem forming around Cryoshot that signals Nike’s bigger ambition.

Following the official reveals of projects with Virgil Abloh Archive at The Codes exhibit in Paris last Fall and Patta’s own design earlier that summer, Sneaker News can confirm that the collab pipeline runs much deeper into its arsenal of creative partners. Additional co-ops expected to touch the Cryoshot platform include Jacquemus (France), Slawn (UK/Nigeria), G-Dragon (South Korea), Palace (UK), NOCTA (Canada), and Jordan Brand (United States), a mix that spans Nike’s ambitions in high fashion, street culture, and music influence across a number of countries.

While no imagery has surfaced for these projects just yet, the scope alone makes it clear that the Cryoshot isn’t just another product launch, but rather a calculated effort to reposition football footwear within everyday culture, much like what Nike Basketball achieved in previous decades. As the World Cup approaches, expect each of these Cryoshot collaborations as well as other in-line styles to surface.
