A quiet archival pull is turning into one of adidas Originals’ more interesting moves for Spring. Pharrell Williams is back in the VIRGINIA universe, this time reshaping an overlooked model from the brand’s past into something that feels right on time.
Instead of building from a familiar terrace classic or performance icon, this pair reaches back to the adidas Yoga Vario from Fall/Winter 2004. That origin gives the silhouette a different kind of foundation, one tied to movement, balance, and flexibility rather than sport-first nostalgia. Here, that idea is refined into a lifestyle sneaker with a flatter stance and a stripped-back feel.
The pair keep things crisp and tidy as expected. Both colorways utilize a white full-grain leather upper; green stripes on one and black on the other break up the mixture. We’re treated to leather lining, an EVA sockliner, and direct-injected outsole. Combined, these elements allow the sneaker to feel soft to the touch while still maintaining its form.
