You’d be hard pressed not to find a vintage clothing store on every corner of any hip downtown locale, but there once was a time when it was a truly niche operation.
Procell sits at the Drake Passage of downtown NYC, where the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and Nolita collide on the ever-busy intersection of Delancey and Bowery. Since 2012, they’ve not only been dishing out the best curation of vintage luxury sportswear, but offering free game to those who shop for personal style and study the market whilst drawing a hip celeb clientele.
This Summer, Procell will launch its first officially official shoe collaboration with Nike on the Total 90 III, the lifestyle silhouette that has successfully crossed over from the pitch. Screened onto the exterior is a boucle pattern in burnt orange and green, likely referencing a deep-cut vintage piece too obscure for our minds. Procell’s shop branding, itself a rare sight, appears on the heel as well as the removable tag.
Firm release dates are currently unknown, so stay tuned for updates and if you’d like to visit the shop, Procell is located at 5 Delancey St. in Manhattan.
