The opening salvo of Steph Curry’s sneaker free agency was a true tour de force. Sadly, injuries have put a halt to what was a show-stopping romp through the industry, but a potential return to action means a return to the headlines.

Worn by the power forward extensively during that championship-winning year and before he became a primary focus of Converse, it’s a team-forward design, its black and yellow layout aligning with “The Town” jerseys worn by those Dubs squads. Whether it’s an attempt to revive those (ahem) golden years, pledge allegiance ahead of what could be a tumultuous offseason in the Bay, or simply flex some knowledge, it’s a sentimental stop in this free agency journey all the same.
