Entering raffles for Jordan releases can be a tedious process, especially when you’re dealing with a sneaker as sought-after and widely stocked as the VAA Jordan 1 “Alaska.” Solebox, however, found a way to inject some creativity into its in-store drop, bypassing traditional online raffle infrastructure and requiring entrants to submit custom, hand-drawn Jordan 1 designs.
Embedded below are a few Solebox team favorites the German retailer shared on IG following the raffle, each as unique as the entrant behind it. Similar to how skate shops might offer an extra raffle entry for landing a kickflip in-store, Solebox selected its winners based on the boldness and creativity of each design. That approach feels especially fitting in celebrating the spirit of the late Virgil Abloh, known for championing the democratization of fashion and encouraging young creatives to dive in with haste.
Scroll through some of the strongest Solebox raffle entries below. Most raffles for the Virgil Abloh Archive Jordan 1 are now closed.
