Anthony Edwards gets the marketing dollars, and James Harden and Dame Lillard have the history. Donovan Mitchell’s signature adidas line, meanwhile, is just a flat-out performer, the D.O.N. Issue #7 continuing to impress true hoopers with its excellent combination of traction and cushioning. With the NBA Playoffs looming large and Mitchell figuring to be a key factor, we’ve uncovered a new “Liquid Aquamarine” colorway set to release in short order.
Official images reveal a Liquid Aquamarine and Core Black upper, accented by bright yellow piping across the top half – flashy indeed, but not overly so. The D.O.N. Issue #7 is equipped with a Lightstrike Pro midsole and radial traction pattern underfoot, delivering the kind of grip and comfort required by all players, but guards in particular. Perhaps more notable is the addition of a zipper closure system, a first for Spida’s signature line and a risky move that’s paid off, with hoopers reporting a snug, secure fit.
It’s not a stretch to call this one of the best-performing signature shoes available right now, though word is the Issue #8 is expected sometime in Fall 2026. If you’re looking to stock up before the current model is phased out, the D.O.N. Issue #7 “Liquid Aquamarine” drops April 15th via adidas for $120.
