Reflective Touches Liven Up The Nike Giannis Freak 7 “Royal”

The countdown is on for the release of the Nike Giannis Freak 8, with Antetokounmpo’s latest signature model set for an offseason debut on August 1st. But the Freak 7 still has more in the tank, now entering the latter stages of its run with a new “Royal” colorway featuring some nice reflective touches.

Penny Hardaway’s Orlando Magic-inspired sneakers come to mind, although it’s unlikely there’s any real intention there. Textured black fabric covers the upper, joined by white side molds and Royal hits on the Swoosh and outsole. Hit the lights and you’ll find a continuous reflective finish running across the wavy side structure. We’ll likely never see Giannis himself lace these up, given that the Milwaukee Bucks shut him down for the remainder of the 2025–2026 season, a decision that reportedly cost him a big Nike bonus tied to the 41-game threshold (per Shams Charania).
