Nike is giving the Air Max 90 another Racing-themed update, this time in a sharp “Silver Sage” colorway that mixes muted tones with darker performance-inspired details. The upper looks clean and balanced in the images, pairing soft Silver Sage across the perforated leather base, tongue, eyestays, collar, and suede overlays. Black takes over the mudguard, Swoosh, heel overlay, and midsole, creating strong contrast and giving the classic runner a more aggressive edge than a typical release.
The design also sticks with details that help separate this pair from a standard inline colorway. Carbon fiber-style texture appears inside the mudguard window near the Air Max branding, adding to the Racing identity without overdoing it. Mineral Slate accents show up on the tongue logo, heel branding, side Air Max hit, and insoles, where the “90” graphic gives the shoe a subtle special-edition touch. Based on overhead photos and zoomed in shots of the footwear, material combinations appear to be smooth leather, perforated panels and suede textures. The layering of materials provides this silhouette with more depth rather than just your traditional two-toned construction.
Air Max 90 enthusiasts will love how this edition of the shoe maintains the iconic silhouette from Tinker Hatfield years ago, while also implementing racing inspired textures and colorblocking. Black is used on the sole unit to ground the shoe down and Silver Sage is used as an upper to provide just enough contrast on the sneaker.
The Nike Air Max 90 Racing “Silver Sage” is set to release in Summer 2026 for $135 USD via Nike.com and select retailers
