Sneaker Politics’ Reebok Collaboration Changes Colors When Wet

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a retailer called Sneaker Politics is so well connected. Derek Curry’s Southern footwear empire has been going all-out for its 20th anniversary run, recently checking off collaborations with ASICS, Saucony, and adidas, and most recently ANTA with a masterful patchwork take on the KAI 3. Next in line is the boutique’s first Reebok collab in nearly a decade, a stormy take on the Workout Plus silhouette.

Introduced in 1986, the Workout Plus is a close cousin of the iconic Club C, only for training as opposed to tennis. Sneaker Politics’ collab is nicknamed the “Wishing Ritual” and features a series of multicolor etchings over a grey leather foundation. While unconfirmed, the chain’s teaser video suggests a potential waterproof upper.

The Sneaker Politics x Reebok Workout Plus “Wishing Ritual” releases April 18th and is likely to be a Sneaker Politics exclusive. See media below if you’re considering scooping.
