Quiet design changes often say more than bold makeovers, and this latest Air Max drop leans into that idea. A familiar grey palette returns, but the structure tells a new story shaped by Seoul’s Seongsu district and its industrial edge.
At the center of it is the Nike Air Max 95 “Seongsu”, which keeps the Big Bubble setup while shifting away from Sergio Lozano’s signature layered waves. Instead, the silhouette adopts a textile upper with vertical striping. The look feels more technical and refined, borrowing from fused materials seen across modern Nike Sportswear releases.
Visually, the Photon Dust, Dark Smoke Grey, Cool Grey, and Metallic Silver tones stay grounded in classic Air Max territory. Still, the execution feels different. A mini Swoosh on the forefoot carries a lightly worn finish, echoed again along the midsole. Meanwhile, blue Air units add contrast beneath the muted upper.
Rather than relying on suede and leather, the construction leans toward performance-inspired textiles. “211” branding on the insole and heel nods to Seongsu’s subway station number, while circular perforations along the side panels catch light and add movement.
Marking a slight evolution for the silhouette, the sneaker dips into archival colorways while introducing forward-thinking fabrics.
