If you’re in our stateside readership, few plotlines have been as tantalizing yet so crushingly inaccessible as Nike’s Street Tough. What we plausibly regarded as an Eastern one-off in the Nike ST Flare delivered another step a year later with the ST Glow, adding a sharpened sequel to what was now a genuine product family.
That descriptor is only more apt as the Nike ST Dynamite comes to light. As we’ve discussed in all of our coverage regarding the Street Tough series, though its Asia-exclusive nature is unexpected, it’s not entirely unprecedented; kicks like the Court Dragon from 2022 established a foundation in that way. The Nike ST Dynamite is only more specific, limited to kids’ sizing on top of its region-locked status.
As for the actual hardware on display, a full mesh upper with printed Swooshes leans rather simplistic at the base. However, jagged graphic layers execute the dynamic atmosphere hinted at in the title, creating a diagonal split on the medial sides and mirroring triangular extensions of the traction on the lateral. The sole unit overall captures molded linework throughout, additionally carrying pronounced heel and side flanges. Of course, the “Street Tough” ethos, delivering kicks crafted specifically for China’s traditional of outdoor hoops, influences the XDR rubber utilized in the herringbone traction underfoot.
For the debut of the Nike ST Dynamite, we’ve uncovered four color options to kick off: three utilize bright, neutral bases with pink/red, black/grey, and orange/red tones atop. The final offers a more regal vibe with gold on black.
The Nike ST Dynamite, barring any true surprises, will be exclusive to Asia, likely arriving in the next few weeks. Prices are expected to net out somewhere between $40 and $50 (or equivalent). Catch official images of all the pairs we’ve come across so far via the galleries below.
