Nike has tapped Los Angeles–based artist Victor Solomon for a new “Trophies Collection” timed around NBA All-Star Weekend, bringing art-driven storytelling to three classic silhouettes: the Air Foamposite One, Air Force 1, and Air Max 90. Framed around Los Angeles culture, the capsule blends sport, craft, and luxury references through a refined white, black, and gold palette that connects each model to a different side of the city.
The Air Foamposite One “Westside Beaches” features an intricate black-on-white graphic across the shell that evokes the movement of water and sand, paired with gold chain lacing and sculptural hardware for a jewelry-like effect. The Air Force 1 “Sunset Strip” leans on a cracked-leather white upper, letting a crystal-embellished Swoosh and gilded lace system serve as the focal point. The Air Max 90 “Downtown Diamond District” emphasizes layered white leathers, metallic accents, and subtle shimmer to mirror the precision of Los Angeles’ jewelry district.
Beyond the footwear, Nike will activate a temporary community space at Shoe Palace on Melrose featuring interactive, basketball-themed art workshops that extend the concept beyond product.
