In 2010, Jordan Brand announced a collection of sneakers spanning the Jordan 1 through Jordan 23 for the “true connoisseur,” created in limited numbers and built with premium materials. Despite promising 23 releases, only five sneakers wound up coming to fruition: elevated takes on the Jordan 2, Jordan 5, Jordan 13, Jordan 9, and Jordan 7. Until now, that is. Jordan Brand is finally set to pick up where it left off with four new “Bin23” sneakers in 2026, starting with this unequivocally classy take on the Air Jordan 6 for its 35th anniversary. The Air Jordan 3, Jordan 8, and Jordan 4 are expected to enter the “Bin23” canon later this year.
The inspiration behind the “Bin23” line traces back to MJ’s love for cigars and/or fine wine, neither of which Jordan Brand has fully acknowledged (because smoking and drinking don’t scream athletic dominance). The “Bin23” name is derived from wine culture, referencing the series number or “bin” assigned to wines to indicate their vintage. A wax seal, comparable to the one used on “Bin23” sneakers, is used to identify the bin a bottle came from.
Like its predecessors, the Air Jordan 6 “Bin23” effectively channels that sense of sophistication. Premium Off Noir leather and suede cover the upper, broken up only by a University Red triangle around the eyelets. Red contrast stitching lands on the shoe’s spoiler-inspired heel tab, complemented by the line’s iconic red wax stamp just below. A black midsole is paired with semi-translucent blue sections, while red accents pop on the Air unit and the Jumpman stamped on the outsole. Chrome lace locks reinforce the premium feel, joined by cedar shoe trees and a matching dust bag, as tradition dictates.
The Jordan 6 “Bin23” is limited to just 2,300 units and drops February 14th for $355 via Nike SNKRS. Happy hunting.
