In announcing the shoe, New Balance says the Ellipse aims to “restore the beauty of being lost in the run,” promising the freedom, mindfulness, and general euphoria that comes with achieving a runner’s high. An engineered mesh upper rooted in classic New Balance design language keeps the build relatively lightweight, while a cushioned tongue and stretch laces deliver comfort for longer sessions.
