New Balance’s $250 Allerdale Walking Shoe Partners With Drake’s London

The casual consumer may bucket all New Balance product as throwback runners, but the real ‘heads know that the brand is spread across far more territory, now more than ever. Maximalist fare like the New Balance 2000 is likely the strongest proof, but taking things further than simple “dad shoes” is another example of the New Balance Allerdale.

Now having chalked off three mainline editions, two in leather and one in suede, the walking shoe is set to embark on its first-ever collaboration. Already boasting a heavy dose of UK energy, produced in Flimby and named after the larger Allerdale District, NB reaches for an incredibly natural partner in that effort, Drake’s London.

Serving up refined British menswear since 1977, the brand Drake’s brings a patchwork arrangement to the model. It combines a range of earthy tonality across each panel in addition to a mixed media blend, pairing leather overlays with a suede quarter panel and gridded synthetic tongue. To close, a dotted red lace style harkens to the retailer’s tradition of tie-making, a perfect accessorized final touch for this pair.

The Drake’s London x New Balance Allerdale is due out sometime in the Fall 2025 calendar, retailing for $250.
