Even the most open-minded sneakerheads were probably surprised to hear that the Jordan Son of Mars is on the comeback trail. While Spike Lee’s first sneaker (the Jordan Spiz’ike) is remembered fondly as far as Jordan hybrids go, the Son of Mars doesn’t carry quite the same legacy. Still, from sole-swappers to true defenders of the silhouette, there’s bound to be a crowd excited – or at least curious – to see these make a return.
For the uninitiated, the Jordan Son of Mars pulls together elements from the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5, and 6. The Air Jordan 3 lends its mudguard and elephant print panels, the Air Jordan 4 contributes the midsole and backtab, the Air Jordan 5 supplies the tongue, and the Air Jordan 6 brings the quarter paneling and tongue cover, here decorated with Mars Blackmon face graphics and Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule logo.
This “Cement Grey” colorway originally released in 2013 and is now set to return in full family sizing, priced at $165 for adults. Expect pairs to hit shelves during the Summer 2026 window, meaning sometime between April and June. Check out official images below if you’re considering copping.
