The Debut J.L-A.L x PUMA Collab Features Wear-Away Gradient Uppers

Nine months removed from their first Paris Fashion Week showing, PUMA and London fashion imprint J.L-A.L are finally set to drop their debut sneaker collaboration.

J.L-A.L, founded by Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle, is known for experimental, avant-garde clothing that rethinks what garments can do and mean. The PUMA canvas of choice is the PUMA CELL Geo – a new model built atop the Big Cat’s CELL cushioning technology from the 1990s.

The collaboration consists of two styles, both featuring patent leather uppers designed to age and evolve with wear. Over time, the top layer fades to reveal a distinct gradient colorway unique to each pair. One style appears to transition from dark to light brown, while the other leans toward a black-to-navy shift.
