A more playful energy is moving through Vans OTW this month, and Julian Klincewicz brings a lineup that feels personal instead of overly polished. Rather than forcing one big concept, the capsule lets each shoe do its own thing. There are two Old Skool colorways in the mix, along with a darker Style 31 that changes the pace.
The Old Skools carry the louder side of the release. One pairs a yellow base with orange side stripes and teal suede overlays, giving it a bright look that still feels balanced. The other goes with teal canvas, orange stripes, and purple suede around the toe, heel, and eyestays. Both are finished with black laces and black soles, which help pull the colors together.
The Style 31 goes the other way. It keeps things dark with an inky suede upper and a matching sole, letting the texture do more of the work. Gold eyelets and gold “The Joyous Chorus” text near the heel give it just enough contrast. The small glossy dog hangtag appears across the full set and gives the whole project a shared detail without overexplaining it.
