Heat is nothing new for the Air Max Plus, but this pair pushes that energy even further. The Nike Air Max Plus “Black/University Red” arrives in a sharp mix of Black, University Red, and Metallic Silver.
The upper carries the story here. Red spreads across the mesh in a smoky, almost burning pattern, then fades into darker sections near the toe and heel. Lighter hits break through the red and give the side panels more movement. That layered finish gives this TN a louder look without losing its edge.
Black keeps the shoe grounded. It covers the signature cage, the mudguard, the tongue, the laces, and most of the sole unit. That setup lets the red upper do the talking. Metallic Silver Swooshes add a clean contrast, while the tongue badge and heel branding stay true to the Tuned Air identity.
Underfoot, the familiar Air Max Plus tooling returns with visible Air units and a mostly blacked-out base. Small red touches around the shank and outsole help connect the upper to the bottom half. Even the lace tips get extra attention with red and silver details.
