Sportswear can be serious business, but Nike is always liable to loosen the strings from time to time. The “Have A Nike Day” motif, returning to the airwaves with the Air Max DN8, is proof, but the Swoosh has pushed that happy-go-lucky concept even b roader with “Smiley Swoosh” editions.
Seen in the first half of the decade with shoes like the Air Zoom Type, a kids’ Dunk Low brought it back to the fore anew. The “Smiley Swoosh” sits proud on the tongue and heels of this Air Force 1, but if sheer positivity isn’t enough of a selling point, this colorway also brings an iridescent Swoosh into the mix. Beyond that, a crowded Swoosh hantag furthers the “special edition” atmosphere, while the brightened leather foundation ensures these re still preeminently wearable despite the out-of-left-field aesthetic choices.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Smiley Swoosh” should be coming to Nike.com in short order. Retail pricing is currently unconfirmed. Keep a bead on this shoe and all the most notable kicks on the way via our Sneaker Release Dates landing page.
