Nike PG 1 Retro 2026 Release Date

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Nike is bringing back the Nike PG 1, but this return comes with a twist. Instead of a wide global launch, the retro is expected to stay exclusive to Asia, making it one of the more unusual moves from Nike Basketball in recent years.

Originally released in 2017, the PG 1 helped launch Paul George’s signature line in strong fashion. The model earned praise for its fair price, clean design, and solid on-court performance. Even so, few expected Nike to revisit the silhouette after the line ended with the PG 6 in 2022.

That is what makes this release stand out. Nike has brought back older signature shoes before, but reviving a discontinued Paul George model for one region only feels different. It suggests the PG 1 still holds real value in overseas markets, especially in Asia, where demand for basketball footwear remains strong.

So far, two original colorways are linked to the return: “Flip The Switch” and “Bright Violet”. Official images have already started to appear overseas, which usually signals that a release may not be far off.

For now, there is no word on a wider launch beyond Asia. However, this kind of regional rollout could spark interest from fans in the United States who still remember the PG 1 as one of Nike Basketball’s better signature debuts.
