Nike is not doing too much here, and that is exactly why this pair works. On the way for Summer 2026, the Nike Air Max 95 “Black/Metallic Silver” strips things back and leans into a darker look that feels easy to wear without losing the character of the model.
Most of the upper is wrapped in black, but it does not come off dull. The mesh base keeps it familiar, while the layered side panels bring in different finishes that give the shoe some life. One panel looks smooth, another has a slight shine, and the lower section carries that carbon fiber-style texture that changes the feel of the whole sidewall.
Metallic Silver accents come into play more as an accent than a headline act. It makes appearances on the lace loops and tongue badge, then steps back and allows the remainder of the shoe to take center stage. A few White Swooshes near the heel lift the mood slightly, while the Cool Grey hue used on the Air units help contrast the dense black construction.
The outsole remains completely dark, which helps maintain the silhouette’s aggressive profile from all viewpoints. Despite the exposed foam, the shoe still feels subtle. It’s a minimal composition, but one that gives the Air Max 95 a grittier street edge.
