After serving as a rallying cry for the AJ1 enthusiasts for several seasons, Jordan Brand finally brought back the Big Swoosh, one of the latest in several shape and tooling updates to better reflect the “OG” arrangements for Jordan Retro models.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago” offered fans a second chance at one of the most celebrated and coveted from that Big Swoosh era, but Beaverton is far from satisfied with just that Bulls-centric drop. Indeed, the refreshed hardware has remained a factor in every colorway since, whether original-adjacent like the “Medium Olive” or invented out of whole cloth like the “Chinese New Year.” Another from the latter camp arrives in the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Pine Green,” placing its central focus on exotic materiality. Though likely not the genuine articles, ostrich or “Safari” textures define the Swoosh, while something close to stingray lends the shimmering finish to the darkened overlays. Finish that with hits of green and a solid gum bottom and you’ve got a pair that taps into classic aesthetics even without any ties to the OG ’80s era.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Pine Green” is confirmed for a June release, arriving in adult and Grade School sizing (pictured below).
